Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
At SmartEvent.in, we understand that plans can change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines our terms for event cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds. We strive to be fair and flexible while maintaining the sustainability of our service.
2. Event Cancellation by Organizer
If you need to cancel your event, refund eligibility depends on timing:
- 30+ days before event: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
- 15-29 days before event: 50% refund
- 7-14 days before event: 25% refund
- Less than 7 days before event: No refund
Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.
3. Event Rescheduling
You may reschedule your event at no additional charge if done at least 14 days before the original event date. Rescheduling within 14 days may incur a 15% rescheduling fee. Your event credits remain valid for 12 months from the original purchase date.
4. Pay-Per-Attendee Plans
For pay-per-attendee pricing, you are only charged for attendees who actually check in to your event. If your event is cancelled before any check-ins occur, no charges apply. Partial refunds are not available for events with partial attendance.
5. Enterprise Contracts
Enterprise contracts have custom cancellation and refund terms as specified in the individual agreement. Please refer to your contract or contact your account manager for details.
6. Service Interruption
If SmartEvent.in experiences a service outage that prevents you from running your event, you are eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future event. We maintain 99.9% uptime and will work with you to resolve any issues immediately.
7. Attendee Ticket Refunds
Refund policies for attendee tickets are set by event organizers, not SmartEvent.in. As the platform provider, we facilitate refunds as directed by organizers. Organizers are responsible for their own refund policies and attendee communications.
8. Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.) that prevent your event from occurring, we offer flexible options including full event rescheduling, credit toward future events, or prorated refunds based on circumstances.
9. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable:
- Custom development or integration work
- On-site support services already rendered
- Training sessions already completed
- Third-party payment processing fees
10. Refund Request Process
To request a refund or cancellation:
- Email refunds@smartevent.in with your event details
- Include your order number and reason for cancellation
- Our team will review and respond within 2 business days
- Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days
11. Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may escalate to our management team at disputes@smartevent.in. We will review all disputes fairly and respond within 5 business days.
12. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
